I have watched the curated propaganda stream eat the brain of my friend, 77, and I know this stream by listening to him. One of the factors is social security, which is being purposefully weaponized as a sort of cattle prod, plus there is evidence the protestors are paid. Brian Muraresku, in the Immortality Key, found evidence, from archaeobotany and new disciplines (he's a Catholic) and in the vatican archives, of both an NDE drug used in the Eleusinian mysteries, which Plato, Pindar and other Greek playwrights participated in (a sign on Mt Athos says: if you die before you die, you will not die when you die) and of Dionysiac cults and brews that were part of those cult rituals, which were frenzies and not spiritual. One of the reasons for Martin Luther's theses was popes selling the brews along with indulgences. Pharmakeia may not require the actual brews any more, though the food, the air and the water are polluted, even the supposedly organic (Colgate bought Tom's toothpaste and now it has measurable lead in it, as in lead in the vessels of late Rome), and all the elderly are on shitloads of meds, including statins which deplete COQ10, the oxygenation nutrient. Although this doesn't address the fact that it is so often women, but the maenads were women, so perhaps it is some syncretic toxic cocktail of fear, meds, extra $, lack of spiritual grounding (though the churches are heavily propagandized too, Christianity bootstrapped to social justice), otherwordly influences and possessions (fear can make the soul flee according to many traditions), and the return of the repressed, the Furies, as it was the elderly being slaughtered by hospital protocols and lockdown, and the cognitive impairment the isolation turbo-charged in those who didn't die. All meds deplete crucial nutrients, like B, which is vital for mental health. Think the Fitzgeralds and Hart Crane drinking their brains out in the Roaring Twenties, when flour was milled to be white and had no B vitamins. The loony bins filled up, and alcohol depletes B. So I"d imagine every level of being is under seige in women, and, as you say, women are uniquely vulnerable. I think it's the Oresteia too as there has been no correction or reckoning.

Brandon Sanderson is a terrible writer (I should know; I've read the 10,000+ pages that have dropped out of him), but there's one scene that he utterly nails in Oathbringer that really captures this behavior. In some respects, it's really just a retelling of The Bacchae. Released in 2017, I honestly think Sanderson was keyed into the psychological storm that was brewing around then. The short of the tale is that this corrupted demigod moves into an otherwise stable and prosperous city. Demigod is called an "unmade"; its main task being to, well, unmake things. Demigod starts by corrupting all of the local fey creatures and bending them to its twisted image. This eventually spills over into the local population. The queen is fully subsumed, goes nuts, and so forth. Orgies and gluttony ensue. It's a rad time. Reminds me of Portland. Sanderson gives this occasion an otherwise mundane name that I find delicious. He calls it the Heart of the Revel. All through the Summer of Floyd, as the hoods burned, all I kept saying was oh look, the Heart of the Revel!

But you're leaving out the best example of the fairer sex getting caught up in magical operations. Remember when the Beatles came to the US? Christ I wish I could build an egregore like that!

I mentioned that in a video. Also, check out the cover of the Hackett edition of The Bacchae from which I was quoting: https://www.amazon.com/Bacchae-Hackett-Classics-Euripides-ebook/dp/B004PYDBZ8

Hah! That's great!

Spot on. You know exactly who these women are, Michael.

In sum, they denied life's purpose and biological reality their entire life. (i.e. abortion, latch key kids, commercial daycares, sterilizing their children). They destroyed all that is beautiful, true and good. Now, they have 30 years to think about it before they die, and they are forcing us to suffer with them.

And they still have the real Hell to go.

Hi Michael, this was very interesting. A different perspective, enlightening. I may say a lot about baby boomer women of certain age, as I am one myself, but not in defense. I don’t know any baby boomer who was given everything. Much the opposite. It was about tough love, lack of communication, and most of all - work.

I know women who peacefully protest and are a ‘pro’ life; I certainly am not inclined to join them. It is Easy to criticize people (who may be under a spell and filled with egorgores) but what about the so called men hiding behind masks? Show your faces cowards.

I think a lot of people subconsciously want blood, just like in The Bacchae

This is one more frenzy for generation 68. Destruction job not totally finished. Are the Boomers under the influence of some sort of magical operation?

QuestionEverything's avatar

I say so. They were victims of their own abundance. Parents got home from war and gave them everything. It wasn't enough. Feminism, civil rights, mental health hospitals opened up. Told their daughters the most important thing was their career. I lived it. I am gen X, but was able to squeak thru. The mental health crisis around us, familial and national, is astounding. Hanging on by my fingernails.

I don’t know what people mean by boomers but I wanna say that I was born in 1944 while World War II was still in process and that I was also briefly in the so-called hippie generation which at that time I was about 26 and I saw almost immediately within two or three years, the way in which the authentic people who were working land having farms, creating businesses were quickly displaced by manufactured people who could buy clothes that so-called looked like hippie clothes and I think maybe that’s the generation that you all want to criticize, not people who were actually struggling with some of the same issues and what does it mean to be human.

The goal of a protest is to communicate an implicit threat of mass violence by the community. It is absolutely unnatural that that threat comes from 74-year-old women, and their eunuch compatriots just make the whole thing more bizarre.

Another odd feature of the present craziness, often seen on this platform: the disbelief that people aren’t totally focused on Current Thing and are actually talking about other stuff, which is, like, so unimportant in comparison to Current Thing.

I am fascinated with your take on the Bacchae. Although in the original the women were of all ages. An interesting parallel is Tartt’s Secret History - they were all young.

Your observation that these ICE ‘maenads’ are all of crone age is significant. Very Lilith. This is at one level the age old reaction to too much authoritarian order (Pentheus) and repressed divine feminine (Dionysus). But why now are the younger women not taking the bait?

I think perhaps, taking a Barfieldian slant, that this tragedy is now playing out at the cusp of final participation, whereas Euripides was writing at the cusp of withdrawn participation.

The crone element of divine feminine represents a movement between thresholds. Destruction and rebirth.

You are one of my favourite contemporary thinkers. Keep on!

I don't think Pentheus, who's only about 19 in the play, is authoritarian so much as inexperienced at using power--and Cadmus and Tiresias are just pathetic and weak. So if the elders are weak and leadership falls to the young and inexperienced--what do you think is going to happen? The great thing with Greek tragedy is it leaves a lot open and we can often be misled by our own inclinations when reading it.

We just seem to go from one frenzied magical operation to another in work and culture. In the big picture, just one long magical operation leading where? Maybe, it's not the where to but the who, the cashing in by the magicians. That has been stable across all of this.

Outstanding! And brave to speak truth in the presence of madness.

Michael I’m liking the article. But i would have rather heard your assessment of the demographics based on even a handful of Internet searches not necessarily laborious to having Grok ? come out with a kind of Mismash Fabula of words that you would not have written yourself. ❤️

The world was put on notice by the elites that this was their game plan in the 2020 Olympics opening ceremony.

My mother (73) is one of them. Caught up in the bread and circus.

And since I'm IRATE about the real continuing threat from above...

I'm emotional distancing.

Sounds like The Sun may help to alleviate some of our oppression, just like I was hoping it would. Nothing else seems to be able to stop The Roll of the technotard freaks. Can't wait to see Their heads EXPLODE like all Their shitty tech.

Get away from your lithium batteries... Get them outta the house.

Hmm interesting. I see Pentheus as a villian, glamored by his usurping authority and questioning the obvious divine. Pentheus gets what he deserves for hubris.
